Well I went shopping with my daughter the other day and all was well until....wait for it....a teenager laughed at me when I passed. I tried to ignore it and brush it off. Deep down inside it hurts and still does. So, since then I have been wearing a wig or covering up. Today, I put on my scarf and my daughter said why are you wearing that? Today was the day. I decided to go out without any covering on my head. I stepped out my home with my head held high, got into my car and drove to a department store. I sat in the car a little while and got up the nerve to get out and go in. What a relief! No one gasped or took a double take. Everyone I encountered were very pleasant and cordial.
