Father, I behold You in all of your majestic glory and the awesomeness of Your name, I AM that I AM. It is in the power of Your Spirit, I am able to do and become all You envisioned. Recently I read a commencement speech given by the late Steve Jobs to the 2005 Stanford University graduating class. In that speech he expounded on how our lives are like dots and as you look back you can connect the dots as to what brought you to the place where you are now. According to Jobs, "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future."

I think out every pain and struggle there is something waiting to be birthed. This is even more so with the pains of life that we endure. Hair loss is one them. In life we are confronted with so many things, but how you look at them will determine your reaction.

Out of pain I found comes joy, if you allow it to spring forth. Over the years I have gradually lost my hair. Although I did not endure the pain of losing my hair, I've endured other pains. It can be excruciating.

I have what they call lazy eyes, but the more common term is crossed-eyes. All my life my eyes have been this way. When I tried to get them corrected I kept hearing the same refrain, "Well you have good control over your eyes." What is that! I wanted my eyes to control themselves.

One of my young nieces has a very hard time with the fact that I don't have hair. One day she asked me, "Do you think that you are pretty and you have no hair?" I responded, "No, I know that I'm pretty!" She just walked away.

A few days later, her mother told me that they were riding in the car and my niece emphatically stated, "Mama can you believe that Auntie Jacqui thinks that she is pretty with no hair!"
