Well, so in the past 3 months, I've discovered that wearing a wig is not too traumatic an experience. I screwed up the courage to start wearing the first one I've bought (the bob cut one) to work at the end of April, and I was just absolutely bowled over by all the compliments and comments everyone had! Well, I am not sure what it is I have. From the pictures I've seen, its not alopecia areata - that seems more like quarter size circles, or areas, where the hair falls out completely. My hair looks more like female pattern baldness. I've lost the hair gradually over the last 6 or so years, mostly on the top and crown and now on the right side too.
