Unsure

Since my last post I have regrown most of my hair, as you can see on my profile pic. There is only some missing above my ears and on the back of my neck. Even though I thought my dificult time was over, I had not really recovered emotionally yet.



The last few days have been quite stressful for me.. and one morning I woke with part of my upper left eyelashes missing. I'm not sure what this means. Will my hair fall out again? Will I lose my lashes? I've read many personal accounts… Continue

Oh My God!

I've been altering my life bit by bit since I got alopecia. First, it was no meat or dairy ,then no gluten or eggs, excercising everday too.

Just recently I went off the birth control pill the doctor prescribed to regulate some girl troubles. I went through some terrible withdrawl from having virtually no hormones, and now things have gotten better. So good infact I've gotten some regrowth, Small patches of sparse hair. That hair wasn't there before, I'm sure of it.

What a feelin!

I'm an artist, and twice a week I give charcoal classes. I begin with a still life subject , then I get in the spotlight and pose for 40 min or so. Yesterday, as I sat in a yoga pose on the floor in front of my students,I told them I was almost ready to go out bald. One lady suggested I take off my wig and pose for them like that. I wanted to very badly just to see how I would feel. So I checked if that was ok with everyone, and got a "Go for it" response.

Gluten Intolerance

Not sure if I've got this blog thing figured ,but here it goes...



I was curious about AU and AT I've lost almost all my hair and my brows were falling out. The story behind that, is advice from an allergy specialist. I have intestinal problems so on my last visit to my gastro Doc he says "Have you changed your hair." I smiled and told him whats been happening. He immediately refered me to an allergy specialist.
