I was sitting in the lunchroom at work when this cute guy I've been secretly looking at for a little while sat next to me. After finding out that he was a genetics student at the university here I thought I would clarify something for myself (and others as it related to a recent question asked on AW). It actually sparked quite the conversation and we talked about alopecia for a little while before he shyly admitted to having psoriasis (although you'd never know).
Now normally I was able to watch him secretly because he never really said hi much or even looked my way if he walked by but after our discussion he waved happily at me as he walked by. I waved but quickly had to check behind me to make sure he was waving at me. He was smiling so much and he was so happy too it kinda made me blush LOL. So I'm glad that I made a new friend today but I still don't think he has a clue that I think he's hot. I hope he didn't notice I blushed, it would blow my cover but I think it's so cool that I can tell all my coworkers about my alopecia and they are completely accepting of it and it's awesome that I get to spread that awareness when I tell people what alopecia is all about. If I go into work to shop I just wear a bandana and everyone knows it's me and treat me the way they normally do. Sometimes I actually feel blessed to have alopecia for it has opened my eyes to see what many can't and when you meet someone that feels the same way it's even better!
