Calling All Florida Alopecians!

Good Morning,

I joined Alopecia World several months ago and am THRILLED to hear all the optimism from fellow Alopecians! I'd really love to talk/meet with more fellow Alopecians from Florida. Is anyone out there? I'd love to hear about choices in hair replacement, going swimming, dealing with the heat etc....

I'm also very excited about partnering with a local hair restoration co. specializing in medical hair loss. Although selling real estate is my focus, I'm looking forward to this exciting new challenge. It's wonderful to feel so passionate about something.

Hi Agnes,

So glad to hear from you.....my 7 year old has had a few bouts with AA too. Up to now, her hair has regrown. I definitely think I panic more than she does! How about you?

hers was always a 60% loss but lately she only has 20% left, ist growing back and we call her fuzzy, ure right i panick more than she does too, it just hurts me when people stare and kids dont play with her. i just tell her hair doesnt make u beautiful, its on the inside and as long as god loves u and u love ure self dont care

I my son has AA since December 2007. Im so glad I founded you guys!!! Im from Fort Lauderdale Florida. He loss 80% and after couple of month of treatments, ist growing back, I was so happy to see how good he was doing.... but 3 weeks ago I noticed he is loosing his hair again........ Im very mad. I don't want to cry any more.

Hi Jennifer! Good to hear from you. I met a young woman from Coconut Creek at the Bald Girls Do Lunch event this past weekend. I'd love to get together for coffee some time and just chat. I've lived with this a long time now but do find it comforting to share with others. I find many family/friends are just not that comfortable. Keep in touch....
