At school I am learning about American Heroes. I am doing a report about Dr. Martin Luther King.

It's a tall order to do a report on MLK, Jr. He did so much in his short life. After you finish your report, maybe you can put it online so we can read it. I'd be interested.
Good luck

You picked a great hero! MLK did so much for civil rights. He always wanted to do the right thing, even if a lot of other poeple were against him. He's one of my heros, too.

According to an article called "Cultural and Social Attitudes Regarding Hair Through History" in the NAAF's newsletter (128), Martin Luther said that "hair was the richest ornament of women". Even MLK believed women should be hairy but he probably got that idea from the bible itself that mentions women should have long hair to be able to cover themselves with it. This probably has nothing to do with your research but I thought it was an interesting tidbit to throw at you!
