The Great British Body has Alopecia!

Thank you for all your lovely comments about the show and I do hope that everyone will get an opportunity to see it at some point. The wonderful thing is that I was selected as The Great British Body!! A naked human sculpture on the Sussex Downs was in the shape of my body and when I took my wig off - everyone who represented my hair stood up and walked off!! How cool is that!
Anyway, it's a huge boost for anyone who experiences hair loss and a big thumbs up for all us girls out there who are not a size zero and have all the bumps and are proud of them!!
I take my wig off to you all!!!

I've been fortunate enough to be selected as a 'feature' person on a new UK TV show which goes out over 3 nights on ITV1on 2nd, 3rd and 4th June 2008.
It's a huge, positive boost for anyone out there with alopecia.
You know what? Sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes we can turn those bad things into good things!! Here's to us all!! Michelle x

I also so a vid were u said u had over 50 wigs! Woow, are they synthetic or real hair? Or all kinds? I'm new to the wig thing and I'm trying to find out all i can about them before i make my first purchase.

I was happily telling people all about you for AGES before the show was aired.
It was a pleasure to have met you and then to have seen it all back on tv.

Well done!!!!

It was great for all people with alopecia that you were the chosen woman. The symbolism of the people representing your hair walking away as you removed you wig was very special.

Trinny and Suzanna were a bit wimpy though. Everyone else involved really embraced the situation but they were just not quite into the situation as much as they should have been.

The whole thing for me is about educating people - the more people understand about alopecia - the easier it will be for everyone, wherever we are!! I'll let you know more when I'm allowed to say anything.... ;-) Mx
