a little about me and why i try to help!!!

My name is Jessi Trenholm. I'm a 18 year old female who has been through a lot for only being 18....here's the story of my life:

When i was 10 my parents got divorced. My mother and sister and I moved in with my mothers boyfriend. He didn't like my attitude so he used to hit me alot (everytime i got smart or did something wrong.) I Lived with my mother and him up until i was 14. I was put in the hospital for my first suicide attempt at age 14. About a month after i got out the abuse started again. At that point i moved to South Carolina with my Father. Where i got invovled heavily into drugs and alcohol...from South Carolina i was sent back to live with my mother in Ohio. I never set foot in my mothers house. I went straight to a rehab center. I spent 10 months in lock down and 6 in open campus (no locked doors)....from there i went into foster care for 4 years.....i got out recently after i graduated high school (May 22nd 08). I am working my first job now. So as you see i have been through a lot for an 18 year old....oh i also just had my gal bladder taken out with gal stones and my liver cleard of them also.

So i'm not in the best sitaution to tell people what to do or anything like that. I can only offer my help or advice to those who ask.....i work with a custom hair place who makes wigs and hair pieces for people with hair loss, alopecia, and trichotillomania, etc......i try to come off as nice but when you went through what i did for years....its hard sometimes......so please try not to take anything i say the wrong way....i may have not walked in your shoes but you have not walked in mine either....

A wise person (grandma) once told me that "Everything happens for a reason....sometimes it just takes a while for you to come up with that reason"....i live my life to the fullest and try to stay positive through it all....i think i can help a lot of people if only you ask.....thank you for stickin with me this long and reading some of my life

Yours Truley,
Jessi

You have been through a lot! You are definetly a survivor. It seems like you are doing very well now. It can only get better from here. You have your whole life ahead of you to pursue a happy, peacful, and honest life. I also beleive that everything happens for a reason. I'm so sorry that you had to suffer great strife in the past, but because of what you have been through you can be of great help and inspiration for someone else going through it. Thank you for sharing your story. God bless, Sarah

Jessi, That truly is a lot for a kid to go through and you sound pretty strong so good for you. I am a Dr Laura Fan and I know she has a book "bad childhood, good life" or something like that. Your life is always in front of you.
