What exactly is "cold feet"...I know this is a bit off the subject of usual blogs, but I needed to vent. I am a wedding planner and the current wedding I am working on was abruptly brought to a halt when the groom supposedly got "cold feet" and called off the wedding, it doesn't help that the bride happens to be my best friend for the last 17 years. Why would you put a ring on someone's finger if there was ever a doubt about your feelings and why leave a beautiful young woman heartbroken. I suppose it is better to end it a month before the wedding as opposed to the day before or day of. It still doesn't ease my friends pain and insecurities.

This happened to my best friend not so long ago as well. Except in his case, he was the guy in the situation and she was the one that got cold feet. They had been together for 7 years. Why did she say yes and take the ring and tell all of her friends and family she was engaged if she was unsure?? I just don't understand it either. Maybe in her case and your friend's case maybe they just feel pressure to get married when it's not 100% where they want to be, ya know? Anyway...your friend will be ok. It just takes some time to heal.
