Hey everyone, I was just thinking about life and alopecia. I was recently diagnosed with Asthma. I had my first attack in late Nov. I had to go to the ER twice since then. It was the scariest thing I have ever gone through...not being able to breathe. It's still scary.
Anyways, it reminded me of when I first got AU 2 1/2 yrs ago. I was so scared then too. Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'de take AU over Asthma ANY DAY . I WISH AU was my biggest problem. When it comes to life or death, we need to realize the important things in life.
I'm not trying to take AU lightly by any means..I know it's a hard condition to deal with, and brings on lots of struggles. I guess I'm just celebrating how much I have grown and learned from all this. It used to sound corny when other people said it...but now, I know exactly what they were talking about.

Don't let this condition stop you from what you want to do in life!~

Great post! I agree with you, if AU is the worst thing to happen to me, then I'm fine with that! Good luck with your asthma, too :)

I hope you will find the right treatment for your asthma...my mom just got diagnosed after being short of breath and very tired all the time so i know it's a hard road...I have been very concerned for her. I believe you when you say you would rather have AU. I hope you can get your asthma to a place where its not scary...I wish you success with that. thanks for sharing some perspective..blessings to you!!

Yes, great post! I use to get asthma attacks in the middle of the night. They can be scary. A friend suggested
that I start eating more spicy, hot foods. I started eating Mexican food, hot peppers, hot sauce on fish sandwiches at least once a week. Also I started to avoid dogs, which I am allergic to. Well after couple months I was off medication and have not had an asthma attack in years! Good luck Lee, I'll pray for you
to beat this asthma.

Turns out...I dont have asthma! I was misdiagnosed. Not sure why I have trouble breathing yet...but may be anxiety. Lets of stress lately. Still...pretty misreable...chest pain, short of breath..and not knowing whats going on with my body. But, Im happy I do not have asthma...that helps with the anxiety. Thanks for your thoughts ; )
