A big thank you

I'm sure I am one of hundreds of you that want to say this but, thank you Alopecia World.
With out this wonderful site my alopecian days would be a little harder, the looks in the supermarket would sting a little stronger, the windy days on the soccer field with 18 girls would never happen, my confidence to walk on a tennis court in just a scarf would not be there, I would not have these wonderful friends that I feel so safe sharing my feelings that I never had before AA, I wouldn't have had the courage to start a support group through naaf in my home town, and my girls wouldn't see a mother who is setting an example that beauty is on the inside and from there it radiates out. I love my bald family and I'm proud to be part of it. Thank you for what you have created for so many people.

This site is wondeful and it has relly helped me and my daughter. Everyone seems to always have an encouraging word that gotten us through some hard times. To all the children who are like my daughter who has to deal with being bald you have been an inspiration to her. You guys let her know she is not alone. I hope one day she has enough courage to share with her friends that she suffers from alopecia. I am so glad that this site exists. God bless you and thank you. Mary:)

you're right since I'm on this wonderful website I feel "normale" I'm not alone anymore
so many women here are most beautiful than others with long hair!

an old woman told me one day when I became bald at 16 that I was just year advances over my time!

Yes a very big thank you to AW. This site let me know that I'm not alone with aloepecia universalis. I have meet some very nice people on here and only hope to encourage more people to be educated about aloepecia.

I ditto everything you say. Although I embraced my baldness before discovering this website, it definitely helped me to accept the "new me" during my trying times. Yes this website makes a world of difference!!!

Yes its a blessing having this wed-site, were people can support you and understand were your coming from. Reading throught the blogs I think yeah i think that or thats happened to me. I dont think people realise the effect aa or au which I have, can have on a person. But you are right the healing and accepting yourselfs gets alittle easier. THANKS TO ALL AT A- W god bless you xxx

I also want to say thank-you if it wasn't for AW i would feel alone and lost. So many of you have answered questions that I have had. I have AA and it came out of no where a couple months ago, I was so shocked and confused now I have aplace to turn to when i need a shoulder. THANK YOU
