On Monday after I got my shots I put on my wig and went to my niece's Holiday Show.  She is 4 years old and has very little  thin hair.  Her two best friends have long thick hair.  When she saw me with my wig she didn't recognize me at first.  The next day my sister in law text me to say that Annie wanted to know where I got that MAGICAL Shampoo that made my hair grow so fast.  She told her Mommy that she wanted her hair to look just like Cookie's (that is what she calls me).  If she only knew that Cookie's hair is gone.  I don't know if I should show her my head and let her play with my wig and try it on or let her go on believing that Cookie has a magical shampoo that makes your hair long and beautiful.  Her Mom says "let her see you and try on your wig".  I don't want to scare her away and make her think it could happen to her.  What do you guys think?

I have always let my grandson see me with different wigs, scarf and bald. He is almost 7, and seems to accept it. I just tell him Grandma doesn't like her natural hair all the time, and changes her mind about what to wear to keep warm on top. He never presses the issue. A little girl may be more curious, or want to play dress up. Can you get her a fun small wig at a costume shop to play with?

That is an excellent idea.  Thank you.  I will add it to her Christmas gifts.

You could add hats and scarves, veils, etc. for the full princess/Milee/actress experience! Also check out the Disney store.

She was a little shocked at first and wanted to know why I did that to my hair.  I lied and told her the lady that cut my hair messed up and cut it too short.  She did not want to try the wig on.  This was on Christmas Eve.  The next day Christmas day she was wearing a hair piece of her own.  I was wearing my shorter wig and she said she like the long one better.  She seemed to be OK with it.  I added a picture of her putting play make up on me go look.
