I went bald in public for the first time in Hawaii a little over 3 years ago, and expected everyone to look. Few did. It usually isn't as big a deal as we think it will be. Congratulations, Denise!

hi all just an update and more questions lol

i can feel hair is sprouting where the original patch was, can't see it but daughter says it is white, while that is trying to come back it is getting less everywhere else why?
is it a trick or for real?
if it is real will it change colour to original?
don't really care if it is pink, blue or spotted as long as i get it back....damn cold in wales :)

i put the wig on now and again, but prefer wearing turbans with scarves through them so much lighter at least i can face the world in them......

back at work on shorter hours, less stress and the boss is scared lol..think he learned his lesson :)

and yes Norm i am going to Prague on tuesday.......as long as the wind holds off lol, if i can do that solo i can do anything :)

and that is with all the support i have had here :)

well i did it!!!!! 3 airports, 2 flights in 1 day, alone, just had to prove to me i could do it...wow and so glad i did :)
met some lovely people from all over, america, india, indonesia, chzech republic etc etc....spoilt rotten, fab food and marriott hotel so glad i went :)
think i am getting my mojo back lol...next i have to try for the hip replacement ........watch this space lol

Hey Sooz - great that you did the deed! Was there ever really any doubt it'd be anything but fab?

But what's this about a hip replacement? Are you sure you're not getting confused with "being hip", now the mojo's doing the Prodigal Son thing?? :)

hi all just a follow up and also more advice needed...what's new lol

i am now on the waiting list for a total hip replacement should be done within six months so they say, not looking forward to it but pain is so bad now i am on sick yet again...could be till i get the op done and dusted :(
i am also sad to say i lost my lovely sister last month who was living in south africa and could not fly out because of the hip problem....how much more can one person take ;(

the goodish news is, my hair is doing it's best to come back, so bits are coming back the natural colour but the main patch is still short and white...which brings me to my questions...wait for it Norm:)

the crown hair is still not quite long enough to cover the patch at the back and the scalp shows through, gave up on wigs, drove me nuts, so used durags, scarves etc and now fed up of them too...

now to the point, has anyone used Couvre, Toppik or Mane to help disguise patches? do they work? will they affect the growing hair ? i was thinking along the lines of courve .... any input would be appreciated ....thanks all for you help, support and advice in the past :)
