Alopecia areata + Pregnancy hormones

Between AA and hormones my hair is thinning out more and more everyday. I'm barely 6 weeks pregnant and I couldn't be happier over our newest addition to our family but already the hairloss from the changes in my body is noticeable. I have 3 spots of AA and now the thinning makes them harder to cover up. I'm worried of how bad it's going to get. The stress of my husband deploying again specially after being so close to losing him last time and having to give birth and care for a newborn and my super active toddler all alone is probably not helping either. I already take biotin to try to help a bit but I wish there was more I could do with hairstyling and such. Somedays I just want to cut it all off just to stop stressing over it. I've been able to slowly accept my AA before but this time it just seems a bit harder to cope.

Oh man stress is a killer. Try to relax and just take it each day at a time. I can only imagine the stress that comes with having a spouse that is on active duty. Just keep a positive outlook and try to relax yourself as much as possible.

Congratulations on your new baby!
