Being bald

Today is a good day for me, I was able to actually stare at myself bald in the mirror with my make-up on of course, I dint feel any emotion whatsoever all I thought waas," HA! #1 i'm never gonna go grey,lol and # 2 i'll never complain of a bad hair day and # 3 i'm not gonna be the one sweating with all that hair when I can wear a turban!!

it made me smile well laugh really and I know I neded that so it felt good! Today is a good day and I hope I have many more of them!

sometimes when i'm sad I write in here and I do get plenty of support from alot of you so even when i'm happy i'd like ot share with you all

you're all woderful people on here and I hope i made someone smle here today

I am loving being a baldie! You can just get up and go, no more sweating while the blow dryer is on. No more windblown looks. Way to look at the positives!!

I'm with you Janet, I love being a baldie. I met a friend the other day who was shocked to see me bald as I always had beautiful long natural curly hair. I told her I didn't even consider wearing a wig, hell I can't keep the cat brushed out half the time, I'm not going to take care of a rug before sticking it on my head.

Good for you Lisa. And here to many many more days like this. *raises glass* LOL
I remember the first looking in the mirror after shaving the last bit of hair. It was some days later, and in the mirror I saw ME not the alopecia. It was a wonderful and welcoming feeling.
