Hello!
About a month ago I noticed redness on my scalp and asked my bf to take a look. We were both shocked to discover 3 bald spots on my head. I work at a salon so went in the next day to make sure I haven't always had them. They confirmed I had not, so was able to get estimate how long this has been going on. (2 months)

I went to doc's and got some cream. When I went to apply, I noticed 4 more spots. AHHHH!!! I have been racking my brain trying to understand what is going on and what I have changed that could cause this.
I then realized that I have changed birth control brands 5 months back. I took a look at side effects and there it was... Could cause excessive hair loss??? But like this... I'm not sure. Anyway, I have stopped the birth control. I also remembered that a few days bf the last hair loss, I forgot to take my birth control 2 days in a row, so took 3 in one day. ( I know, not good )

Could birth control really be causing this? I'm kinda hoping so, but will keep you updated :)

While doing research I came across this site... Check it out.

I also stopped using birth control (Loestrin 24) because I was scared it might be contributing to my AA. I'm not quite sure though.

A little update.... I quit the birth control and have not lost anymore patches. I have also noticed hair growing back in the spots. (Don't want to get too excited.) I have been using the cream my doctor gave me and have been drinking this herbal tea called Flora. It is AMAZING stuff. I would recommend it to anyone. I truly think it is helping with my re-growth. I am going to see the doctor soon but am scared to go back on birth control.
Again thanks for listening. I wish everyone the best, and am very thankful to have this support!
