So the first thing I noticed about Caitlyn Jenner's photo shoot was her long gorgeous hair. I wondered if it's her natural hair or if she bought it (and if she did where did she buy it?!) I also noticed with interest that she chose long flowing hair because in our culture, like it or not (and I don't like it!) long hair is associated with femininity.

I could identify with her in some ways. I am having some very nice professional photos made this weekend of me with no wigs, nothing on my head and I'm going to share them on FB, on Instagram, just as openly as I share on this site. And I'm hoping I will be accepted. I'm thinking she might have felt some of that too.

I also know what its like when your outside appearance doesn't match the way you feel on the inside. I've always been a "girly girl" and now I'm bald. I wear wigs when I go out because I feel prettier in them. So I kinda get where she's coming from. And I'm certainly not going to judge or tear this woman down. We all want to be loved and accepted for who we are.

Linda, please don't forget that your god is not everyone elses god. Caitlyn has every right to live the way she wants. Just as you do. Religious freedom goes both ways. Just as human rights and dignity.
Caitlyn is brave enough to show her true self to the world and we all can imagine how much courage that must've taken her.
Plus she rocks her new look and so should we.

I think Caitlyn has "good" hair. I couldn't help wondering if Bruce would have transed if he was bald/

Ok, I know this may be off the subject a little but like it or not, I'm so tired of people referring to this MAN as a SHE, The God I know and serve doesn't make mistakes  and if he made him a MAN than that is what HE is and HE should accept that and live HIS life accordingly. Just as we (with Alopecia have to accept ourselves. Yes I wear a wig but I am working on building up my nerve to just go bald, Although my reason isn't so much of wanting to be accepted in society with my baldness, I don't do it because I have Alopecia Areta and to go out bald would require me shaving my head daily which I was doing for a while but my head was getting very irritated from shaving and I also have Solar Urticaria which means I'm very sensitive to the sun and my head being exposed wouldn't be a good idea. Other than those issues, I would happily go bald and just accept it..

There was little in those pics that wasn't augmented, enhanced, cosmetically altered or photoshopped. The photos were gorgeous, but, just think ... If a 65-year-old man can look that perfect through the magic of glamour than we alopecians are not in any way limited in how we can choose to present ourselves!
