Hello My fellow Smooth Friends :)
I enjoy reading all of your post and checking out the great pictures. I thought I would share what happened to me today. I am a full time graduate student studying to become a Nurse Anesthestist. I needed to get an MMR before I could start a new clinical site and the Health Department was just the most convient option (Glad I vote for the levy :). A mother and her daughter (age 5-6) came in an sat next to me. I could tell they were checking me out alittle bit. I smiled a the girl and said "Hi." The mother then asked what kind of cancer I have. I told her " I don't have cancer. I have Alopecia." She said "I don't know what that is." I gave her the brief explaination. Then I looked at the little girl and said "I am allergic to my hair" with a smile. Her eyes brightened up and she and her mother seemed to "get it." I knew the other elderly patrons were listening in. Just then, the TV Health CHannel had a segment about "Women and HAirloss - Also known as Aloepecia!" The little girl and her mother looked at the TV and exclaimed "We were just talking about that! Then the older ladies started talked about their bald spots and how they try to cover them up. Just before they left, the mother said "You wear it well!" That made my day :)))
