Hi all-- I have a question.
I have about 3-4 inches of regrowth, of course it is pure white. Have any of you tried to dye your white hair, did it take???
Thanks
Kenra

I'd also be interested in knowing. I was thinking of doing some henna, since my natural hair color is red. The white hairs create such a contrast. I was looking at www.cosmeticsdatabase.com and henna had a pretty safe score. But, I'm nervous and treasure my white hairs!!

The drop-in salon near me dies my white to match my wig for $10. It only lasts a few weeks, but for only $10 I can go to the backroom for dye (and leave my wig on a stand), put a towel over my head on way to sink and driers, and then...oooalah! No more white sideburns!

Georgie- I am not sure if you have used Henna. But I am in hair school and we just talked about it. Henna is supposed to be so temporary that it will wash off on your clothes when you sweat. If you used it already let me know what happened. otherwise I just wanted to let you know what they just told me at school. So be careful.

Yup, I've used Henna in the past. It has not washed out onto my clothes or from sweating. Otherwise I wouldn't consider using it again. Right now I'm kind of going through a phase in my life where I need to be as natural and as chemical free as possible. I'm gluten-free as well and henna is also gluten-free.

Applying henna is somewhat of a process...but worth it. I have strawberry blond hair so henna actually works awesome for me. Some people don't like the smell...because it is a very earthy smell.....like dried grass. I don't mind. I've only used Light Mountain Henna and it rates highly in terms of ingredients and quality. Hope this helps!
