Day 24 of Chinese herbal medicine to treat alopecia due to raw food diet and stress

Hello,

Just an update that it is now Day 24 of my medicine intake and positive improvements! My hair has considerably improved. The amount of hair coming out during showers seems to be 25% of the amount since the start of the treatment. It has been this way for about 5 days now. I am now waiting for hair growth to show after the 2 month mark....

The more I read about the effects of raw foods on my overall heath, the more convinced that it is not for everybody. You need incredibly strong digestion for a raw food diet. Hair is a mark of general health (as well as skin and nails), these are the first things to go before something more serious develops. So pay attention to them when you are making any lifestyle changes. The vegetarian diet was not a cause but it aggravated the condition as my body was craving blood building foods which is most effectively from meat. I will be returning to being a vegetarian once my hair comes back though and will let you know if has an impact. I will follow a more careful diet though.

Other noticeable effects are:

- smoother and less dry skin

- nails more glossy

- hair has less kinks and not as wiry

- less vulnerable to cold

- better circulation

Negatives:

- more noticeable mild headaches due to increase in blood and heat in the body; I sweat more easily!

- body aches a bit from yoga so it has taken a little longer to recover

- digestion is the same

- still the occasional nose bleeds (this happened on and off before I took the medicine)
