I was tested when I was in the midst of losing most of my hair, and my ANA was normal. It was both frustrating and relieving to have lost my hair, much of my pigment, and be hypothyroid, and, by all the obvious tests, to be perfectly healthy. (I do think I was anemic, though my results were at the bottom of normal, and I suspect that could have contributed to my hair loss.)
I've had some regrowth, but it is white and perhaps only 20% of my scalp hair, also some body hair regrowth. I'm not optimistic about stopping the autoimmune attack, though if I can avoid more debilitating autoimmune issues, I'll be content. Good luck with the regrowth.
Find an allergist and see if you have mold gluten or sulpha allergies.
