Need help with disguising the fact you have alopecia sometimes? Well I think I can help you! Ive been trying to conceal this about myself since I was 12 years old. I can glue eyelashes on perfectly, draw on eyebrows in 30 seconds and have people shocked when they find out that I have alopecia. "I can't even tell you wear a wig" is the best compliment a young artist like me can get. The trick is to practice alot! I put on eyelashes and eyebrows every day, and it only takes 15 minutes once you really get the hang of it. If anyone wants a little bit of advice about this subject, please dont hesitate to ask! I am happy to share with the world how easy it is to accomplish.

Yes, I use a Mac brand eyeliner pencil. Its almost like liquid liner for how easy it goes on. Not like the kind you might have to rub your eye all day just to get it dark enough. I use black to match the lashes, and also pretty thick so when you put the eyelashes on they look natural. No white should show under the lashes.

What glue & eyelashes do you use?? I like the lashes, but I hate how the glue feels on my lids and then it's so hard to get off that I feel I'm rubbing what eyelashes I have left right off!! HELP...

I use "fashionlashes" that you can get at a walmart/target/fred meyer, I cut mine down a little bit because they are too big for my eyes. And for the glue I use waterproof LashGrip eyelash adhesive which you can get at the same places. I don't really notice them anymore on my eyes. It takes getting used to, bit its totally worth it. Sometimes I have to re-apply glue when the glue wears off because I try to use as little as possible too make it less "heavy" on the eyes. Try to not rub them! Resist the urge and after awhile you wont even know they are there.

PS: reuse eyelashes maybe 2-4 times before replacing.

Also, I may not have answered this. Cleaning your eyes after taking the eyelashes off can be difficult if you don't use the right cleanser. I use clinique's oil free eye makeup remover with a cotton swab. (Also can be found at stores listed in my previous comment). A few swipes across my eyes and the glue is on with MINIMAL damage to the eyelashes you have left. My eyelashes come and go all the time, but cleaning your eyes correctly will make sure you don't get rid of them by rubbing them off.

Thanks Alyssa, same products I use, except for the make-up remover. I'll have to try that...
