I love fashion magazines. I can't really explain why but I love the artistry of design. Have you ever noticed (those of you who read them) that when they publish a feature about "hair loss" alopecia is NEVER mentioned??????? Why is that?? Do we need to have a louder public voice?? Just a thought.

Interestingly enough, Chel Cambell from aaf.org.au just got a great story in one of the big fashion magazines, I think it was vogue. They gave a great wrap up on it! It looks like I've forgotten to upload it to our blog, I shall have to remedy this in the next few days ( http://www.transitionshair.com.au/transitions-blog/ ) it gave a very good coverage of the issues at hand and various means to help overcome hair loss.

As for something a little different, not specific to Alopecia, but Elle Canada magazine just did a big 6 page article on wigs - april edition. They featured one of my friends in the Transitions group, Michael Suba (www. continentalhair.com). It's worth taking a look at : )

That is very odd. There was certainly plenty of publicity when Gail Porter had alopecia, as she was such a high profile figure and was openly bald.

This is about fashion but not alopecia, though I think this will be of interest.
