Walking with the dog will be a great start to getting out and about. Those panic attacks are just awful, I used to have them all the time! Good luck with your continuing counselling, its great you're sticking with it. All the best to you.

Way to go! I used to wonder as well if people notice my "hairpiece" but now I couldn't care less. A few years back I would wear the same wigs for years ( buy new ones of course ) so people wouldn't notice. Now I wear different wigs all the time & whenever neighbors stare at me I just smile at them :) I sometimes still have days when I think everyone is staring at me, I swear they are even though my husband thinks I'm super paranoid, & I always feel like it's because of my hair. Obviously they could be staring at me for hundreds of reasons. So I guess I still have a little way to go but hopefully one day I will not be so paranoid anymore & just be 100% confident about myself. Best of luck to you!

I did the same thing as Sophia, wore the same style of wigs for years....and when I did buy a new style I would have these anxiety attacks the first time I wore it. Funny thing is most people didn't really notice. Even with wearing the same style I have had comments like....did you dye your hair....HA HA Now the only time I wear a wig is when I go to work....not sure if I will ever have the courage to do otherwise. Not that these same people that I work with could see me out and about town. Funny how the mind works sometimes.

Most of my wigs are very much the same style, but it's a style I've always worn. My current wig is darker than the others and longer and people comments are usually that they love the darker colour on me..nothing about the length! People really aren't that interested in others, and when they look at me I realise they're not really looking AT me :)
