Hi there all,
I was just wondering if any of you have experienced folliculitis along with the alopecia? I have had this a couple of times since I had AA and I still have not found the right combination of medicines, soaps, ect. to get rid of it!! I read that if you get it sometimes, it will just keep coming back again and again just like alopecia!! Why can't I catch a break!! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Yup.
I have folliculitis and it is driving me crazy.
it wouldn't be so bad because I can live with being bald. For me it is more the hypertrophic scarring on my head that I hate and am self conscious about. I need to get the scarring reduced and I would feel a lot better about it. All in all it has been stressing me out lately because I had a break out recently, with more hair loss and more small scars...ughhh. On some antibiotics (cephellexin) and a cream called "altabax" that has cleared things up (again). I am pleased with how it has calmed my scalp down but fear the return once I stop this regiment.

What is the best remedy for hypertrophic scarring?
I am getting injections from my derma - they are painful. Is there anything else anyone can recommend?
I have heard lemon juice (but that lightens skin and remaining hairs...), Tea tree oil, cocoa butter (clogs the pores so that is no good).
