Hello everyone ! It's late and I am not sleepy . ( perfect time to update you all ) I have some regrowth . I'm kind of excited , kind of not . I LOVE my wig . It has helped me so much but I do miss the hair attached to my head . I haven't shaved my head it a while . Last year in the summer it was so hot & I know this year will be the same . With the hair underneath it makes it hard to wear my wig . I will probably wear bandanas this summer anyways . I miss coloring my hair crazy colors . I just miss my hair . I want to grow it out but I'm afraid that it's going to take forever and then fall out . I feel stuck . I guess I'll just wait a month and go from there . I'm going to try to post a pic of the back of my head . I still have some spots . I also thought about using the cream the dermatologist wanted me to try . Well, I guess that's it ! - Mackenzie

Hi Mackenzie - my question to you would be - why bother with the wig at all? Why not shave your head, and just leave it at that? I started loosing my hair at 16-17 due to male pattern baldness. Blew thousands at Hair Club for Men trying to compensate with a hairpiece which years later I discovered EVERYONE knew I was wearing. I've been smooth as a baby's bottom for years, and never felt better. You've got my support regardless : )

Let it grow, it looks promising! Any idea what made it start growing in again?

Evan - I feel more like myself with the wig . I like styling my hair . A lot of my family & friends think it looks like my real hair .

Dominique Cleopatra - I have no idea . I might let it grow . At least give it a chance .

Its exciting to see hair growth and Im so happy for you that you are seeing the hair grow. Do what works for you. If you were going to wear bandannas this summer then why not let it grow and see what happens. You always have your beautiful wig if you decide to shave. Besides if you let it grow this summer you can get out all your fun hair dyes out again.

Hey congratulations!:) I hope it only gets better and hairier:]
I have a bit of regrowth also and now contemplating what to do with it, I'm scared to see if it starts to fall again, I couldn't handle that;/

Hey Makenzie! I'm so happy for you that your hair is growing back. I would let it grow back and see what happens next. Do you know what happened to make your hair grow back?

I know that no one has commented in here for 18 months, but Dominique's name reminded me of something.
In ancient Egypt it was common for the women, nobles and commoners, to shave their heads because of the heat just as the men did. Wigs were worn as were other head coverings. Cleopatra herself was thought to have done this.
Even then human hair was the prefered material for wigs though only nobles could afford them.
God bless,
Larry
