Well, ALL of Troy's hair has grown back in! Next problem? Well everybody has to comment -reinforcing that hair is SO important. It is always nice to give a compliment-dont get me wrong. But some people just dont get it and go "over the top" gushing about his regrowth. You think they would learn after watching the cycle. They have seen it time and again but, still they treat him like he has done "something good, or amazing" by growing his hair back-somehting he has no control over- so when his hair falls out he has to deal with all the other comments too, ..grrr.

That is the one thing that bothers me most of all... when people make comments that leave you thinking really that seems something you should say out loud?? I actually have a friend who told me one day how she saw this women with really short hair and thought how great i would look with hair like that and went on to say too bad I couldn't just grow my hair out for the summer.. Almost like i have control of my hair falling out and growing back. I wanted to say if I could grow my hair back that easy don't ya think I would keep if for all the seasons. I also had my mother tell me I thought myself bald.. I guess some people don't think.

Some people just don't think! I had a patron (I'm a librarian - and I try to educate people that every bald chick they see doesn't necessarily have cancer) who said "the hair is the crowning glory of a woman" - umm, how would that make me feel better?! Good luck to you guys, and have fun petting the fuzzy head! :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone, it helps to know I am not alone.
I too believe all the comments are mostly with good intentions, people just dont think it out before they open their mouths.
Jessica, wow your Mom wishes-but ya right!
Norm-hahaha, I keep trying that too!
And I am enjoying snuggling his "baby hair", it feels just like when he was a baby! But I also miss his cute sweet "kissing spots", they are a part of him and what makes him special. He actually misses them and we talk about when he"grows his spots back", pretty cool!I just decided to make a facebook status reminding/educating those we know not to unintentionally send Troy the message that he is "better with hair"-cause guess what-it's not permanent! I cant protect him from everything, but maybe I can bubble wrap him a smidge-lol
