Hair...It CAN come back
Hey everyone - it's been AGES since I've been back on. I feel bad and guilty...as a fair-weather friend. I've stopped in from time to time just to see if my friend are online for a chat, but alas, haven't been able to connect (you know who you are!) :-)
This is a quick note, but wanted to assure those new to the group that your hair CAN indeed come back with full regrowth. I remember when I used to spend COUNTLESS hours on this site and was amazed at how many new members were here almost daily. I also recall how frantic a lot of them were when first diagnosed, just like I was not so long ago. I would get on this site and search for any hope that the huge spots that appeared on my head had any "hope under heaven" to go away and have hair come back.
This is a short, to-the-point reassurance for all of you that it can come back. Take care of yourselves both mentally and physically...don't let the stress of this situation get the better of you. Be a little patient, and sometimes good things can happen. Check my past blogs for my journey (or the roller coaster of hell as I used to call it). Stay strong.

Aimee - yep, I remember we were all on AW right about that same time. Thanks so much for being happy for me...I hope to return the favor to you very, very soon! :-) If you're HALF as chipper and upbeat in real life as you are via your postings, I'm sure you'll have no issues keeping your spirits high. There IS hope... After nearly a year AU my son has re-grown his eyebrows, eyelashes and most of the hair on his head - just a few spots now. The hair on his legs looks a bit funny with the bald splotches, but he says he can live with that. The eyebrows and eyelashes were the most exciting, people don't look at him and think he's sick any longer. He still wears a hat, as it has become his image, he's much happier these days.
