Hey there. You know what? I think the same thing. I told my manager the day after my diagnosis (ESP because I have to go for apps) and she cried with me. She was so open and honest. She said she would cry if she was going through it. For some reason it made me feel like I had an ally instead of someone pitying me. I am afraid that some friends will look at me with at "I feel sorry for you" look. Of course, my bestie who is amazing, told me we would fight together and that she would be there all the way, not to worry. I think if you prep yourself for the pity looks, the good responses will make up for them in the end. Besides, I would like to think that I would never judge anyone for their illnesses or conditions. Still frickin' hard though right? We are not alone.
