How to compliment someone with alopecia?
As a non-alopecian, I'm curious: If people would like to compliment your "look," how would you like them to do so? I mean, if it's specifically your "hairstyle" or lack thereof that they like, what's the best for them to tell you this without offending or upsetting you?

If it's someone you know who has recently developed Alopecia, respond to him/her the way you always have. Personally, I am very sensitive about people treating me differently since I feel that I am still "me". As mentioned above, a genuine compliment is always appreciated.

I have just started venturing out ah natural more & more often; on this particular occasion I was leaving a doctors appointment. Riding down the elevator, it stopped & a gentlemen stepped in, he too was bald, we smiled & acknowledged each other, the door shut & the the elevator continued, then this strong deep voice said, hey, looks good on you girl. I thanked him & told him he had made my day, he just smiled & winked & said your very welcome, the elevator doors opened & we stepped out, said goodbye.
When I reached my car, I sat there for moment, looked at Heaven above & thanked the Lord for sending him my way.
