I am happy today

today was my first day to go out without my wig
Although I do have lots of these small/ big bald spots every where on my head I decided to go without my wig.
I wanted to be me.
I was really afraid, because I hate it when people look at me with those eyes that are full of pity and mercy.

At the begining I felt that every one is looking at me but then I said to myself " Einas you look gerat with hair and without hair if the others dont accept you the way you look so it is their problem and not yours" yes yes yes it worked.

Welcome to Alopecia World, Einas, and thank you for the Friend request! I know how you feel about the first day going without your wig. I wanted to be ME too! just take it one day at a time and you will feel better soon. You are SO right about other people looking....it really doesn't matter, and it's their problem.

Please join the Group - International Alopecia Day. I would LOVE to have Israel represented next year! On August 6, 2011, people with alopecia all over the world will go out in public to raise awareness and show the world we're proud of who we are. You ARE beautiful! Hair or no hair we are still the same person on the inside and that is beautiful... I am so happy you took that step! If I end up losing all my hair, I plan on doing that as well! Glad to hear you are having a good day!

Congratulations on taking that big step. I've only been out of my wig for 3 months but everyday I gain a little more confidence. And I'm finally at the point where I don't care if people stare or ask questions. I

Dear Dave, it took me alot of time to do it. You should have the confidence. Do not care about others thoughts just be ur self.
