So today my family and I went to a water park and I went for the first time with nothing on my head. It was such an awesome feeling. Not to worry about anything falling off, I felt free and it was great. TO anyone who is afraid to do it, just go for it, I was nervous, but I figured people stare at me with my hat on so whats the difference if I don't have anything on. My husband said he knew I was a strong person, but now he really knows what a strong person I am, lol

Just go for it, I say!!!

It is amazing what we can do, and don't even realize it's within us to go for it, and after it's all done, we think ... what in the world was I waiting for all these years. However, do not let that thought rob you of your new found joy and freedom to be you! "3 CHEERS"

Way to go Debbie. I remember when I went to Florida, after the first time at Disney and trying to keep my wig on a roller coaster, I knew I had to try something different. The next day, I went to the beach and left the wig in the room. After that I left the wig in the suitcase the rest of the week. The next vacation, I left the wig at home completely, even though at that time I was still wearing the wig to work.

That's GREAT! I hope that one day I have the courage. I've done it with no one around, but I kinda feel like that really doesn't count. But your right, people stare at us anyways.

WOW I don't think I will ever be able to do that, but you are right people stare at us even when we have a hat or bandana on. Very happy for you way to go.

Wow! Glad to read this. I need to able to do this! I have lost my bandana everytime I swim...hoping to be able to shed it today! As for my head I have been eating lunch on the back deck, letting to sun tan my head on the days I am home, also mowing with my head uncovered so it isn't my scalp isn't too white. I did use sunscreen the first few times...dry oil sprays
