Ketoconazole 2% and Corticosteroid Betamethasone

Me again with another question! I was prescribed by my dermatologist the 2 above treatments for my itchy scalp and sensitivity. He always said my scalp looked healthy on previous visits and I called him today and told him my head was itching severely with tiny white balls of gunk... He prescribed me these two things without even looking at my scalp. He is about an hour drive away...

Have any of you ever used either of these? I am very nervous about using them. I know the steroid drops can cause skin thinning, but I don't know what that means. I read that the Ketoconazole shampoo also known as NIZORAL can help with hair loss, but it also says it can cause hair loss. I am trying to save the rest of my hair and was curious about others experiences and what they think of these two prescriptions. The ketoconazole (NIZORAL) is a shampoo and the other liquid drops applied to affected areas. Any advice would help me out! Thanks all!

i used ketoconazole 2% but it didnt work at all, and now i am having celesemine, which is Corticosteroid Betamethasone or similar but they are pills......one month ago i used Corticosteroid drops, in spain is globetasol, drops and champu both of them with Corticosteroid, but i was using them only 12 days because you have to be very carefull with Corticosteroid...a bit of Corticosteroid is good for the inflamation but too much of that is really bad for u hair .....so i had to stop it, i was good for the pain, which is good ,but now the pain is back, and i cant use them anymore because is too much :(.
the only thing i am completly sure is stress is not causing me that....i dont know what it is..but it is something that i have to find out before i get bald!!!.

one question!! affected areas?? you dont feel the pain in your entire head? is the pain only in one area? ..Comment
