So, my newest $500 synthetic wig that I've had for only 2 months is starting to frizz & look "old" - go figure ugh - so I need a new wig. I'm looking for a bob style synthetic wig with monofilament top, any suggestions? Not too pricey if possible. I looked online but didn't find anything, yet.

I've been really happy with Amore synthetic monotop wigs and can usually get about 5-6 months wear out of one. You can get them for approx $115-120 from www.wigs.md. If you don't mind the cut being longer in the front than the back, the Codi style is great and the Erika is a more traditional bob. I get lots of compliments on the Mochaccino color. The key for me has been finding a hair stylist that is comfortable cutting wigs to thin them out a little. The Codi doesn't need much thinning but the Erika is a bit too much hair for me without getting it trimmed.

I have liked the thickness and coverage of Raq_ _ _ Wel _ _ (can't mention brands) synthetics in two or three tones. Even without monofilament, these are cool. Less than $150. Do NOT over-comb, use plastic combs or expose to heat.

Thanks!!! I haven't had "a____" wigs but they look very nice from just the pictures. I actually looked at Codi & liked it! It's good to hear they last a little while too. I have had a few "r.w" wigs & always loved them. The one I have right now is fine in the front but it's touching my neck in the back & that's where it's starting to frizz. Saturday I'm taking it to my stylist to hopefully have him do something with it so I can hold off on a new wig for a while.

Synthetic wigs always frizz in the neck area as that's the area they constantly rub. Have you looked into human hair wigs? They are more expensive but last a lot longer.

I've had one human hair wig but HH is just not for me, I like a new style/cut/color every couple months, probablyeven more often than that so I try to stick with synthetic. If I bought a HH I would have to wear it for a long time, or else my husband would probably kick my behind haha. Thanks for your input though!

I buy human hair wigs from a chinese site and pay under $500 for them. The quality is good. Message me and I will give you the site.

I believe the shorter the wig the less Frizz you get. I have a Dixie Pixie from RW that I have been wearing for years. It has a little bit of frizz in the neck area but you hardly even notice it. I also always spray on conditioner after I wash my wigs...maybe this help.

Yes Rose, everything is in EURO which is insane with the current exchange rate! I always try to order them online from US websites, so much cheaper.
I'm actually not happy with the lace front (by Gabor wigs). It's too dark for my skin color, which means looks like a piece of plastic that doesn't belong there. I don't think I will order another lace front synthetic wig. I'm pretty sure my next purchase will be HH wig, I have been wanting one for a long time.
