Today Amelia went for her MRI, and we had to go to Charlotte to Carolina's Medical Center. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. I called the doctor, and he said that the everthing was normal in the pituitary gland. We have done blood work, and now this, but still no answers. The dermatologist hasn't been much help either, but she did prescribe some foam to put on the scalp. It was spots but now more hair has come out, and we are almost to the point of shaving. I cry at just the thought, but I know that at the rate it is coming out that shaving will have to be done. We also looked at wigs, and Amelia didn't like that. So I went and bought her a Hannah Montana wig to play with. Right now she likes her hats, and I'm okay with that.

Maygen was 3 when she lost everything! EVERYTHING! She didn't even have peach fuzz! Teach her how beautiful she is by telling her daily. I promise that it will get to a point that you don't see the person she is without hair, but the person who she truly is. I also bought Maygen a Hannah Montana wig to wear around the house....I know she is 13, but she and her friends put on different wigs and dress up clothes and act goofy. I did, however, buy her a hair piece from Sally's and it matches her hair perfectly. we are sewing it into some tight stretchy hairbands. She wears this to church. It looks so good on her. We haven't shaved yet. I guess I am going to hold on until the last strand falls out. It is a hard call. I also bought some stuff that is a powder that matches the color of the hair and hides the bald spots to some degree. Hold your head and and love her!!!
