I've been in a elationship for the past 10 years and it recently ended. During that relationship I'd lost al my hair so my partner had gone through al the trauma and supported me through it. Now I found myself single and bald and dating seemed completely daunting. Then a ew weeks ago I met someone on facebook ompletely by accident - a friend of a friend. We ended up chatting and found we had loads in common so he asked me on a date! I asumed he knew about my baldnes because of my profile picture.
When I turnd up at the restaurant for or first face to face meet, I could tell he was a bit surpised but not in a bad way. We got on really well and have arranged to meet again.
I'n notsure how this will end, with 2 young kids I'm not realy looking for anything too serious just yet but the whole thing has given me such confidence that I just wanted to share it wth you :-)

Emily, I am so happy for you! It almost doesn't matter how this one ends. The important thing is you took a chance and opened up to another person. We know how hard that is. I am single and having the empty nest thing since both my kids are in college. All I want is to meet someone to go out to eat with and maybe to a concert or the movies. I am so paranoid about people judging me because of the wig, i can't open up to anyone. Please don't be like me. Thanks for sharing.

Hehe, I liked reading your blog posts. I was also in a relationship for 10 years and have 2 kids. I lost all my hair during that time. It was interesting starting to date again. I actually met my husband online but didn't have a bald date until the second date. Even though he knew I felt more comfortable in a wig and first dates are difficult as it is. Going without a wig has been a gradual process for me and the only time I still always wear one when I pick my kids up from school. I suppose I should get over that one to was they don't really care yet. You are an inspiration. Thanks.
