Time for a change or affirmation of your positive traits? New year's Resolution time coming up! I used to tear up the ending-year's calendar into tiny bits, then toss them up as confetti at midnight when ushering in a new year...when I wanted to GET RID OF a bad year, mentally. Nowadays, I have more calendar entries I DO want to keep...but it is an idea that may fit some of you.

My resolutions include being open to mystery and spirituality, taking control of my OWN life (not lives of my twenty-something children...er, adults), and relaxing. What are your positive alopecian resolutions?

Idea: List what has been annoying you, then think of its opposite. THAT becomes the new idea to try for 2011! Inactivity can turn to action medically, socially, educationally, professionally, spiritually, financially, as well as with a new style for head, make-up or clothing. Who will you present to the world on January 1?

I have to work on New Years Eve AGAIN!! Feel worse for my bf, because we are still new here and don't have any friends yet...so he has to stay home alone too ; ( As far as resolutions, I usually make them on my bday, not new years ; ) Mine was to have a happy healthy baby, tryo to stay as stress free as possible, and lose the baby weight! Happy new yrs everyone!

As for resolutions, first and foremost, a closer walk with God. If I don't have Him in my life, life is meaningless. Also, to take better care of myself through exercise and a healthful lifestyle (pry myself away
from the computer screen and start moving...rumor has it that there's life outside of the internet. Anyone happen to know if that is true?? LOL) Lastly, being content with who I am. :)

@ Devin,
Moose Tracks? Brrrr...don't ya think it's a bit cold for ice cream? ;) LOL Nah, ice cream is good any time of the year!

Pozole will be my dish of choice come New Year's Day. Mmmmm! :) Happy New Year, Alopecia World! You people are the BEST!!

My new years resolution is going to be to Live, Laugh, and Love more each and everyday. Im going to try to continue to accept that alopecia is part of my life and not to shy away from the world.(Still getting use to being bald) As to what Im going to be doing tomorrow night, you will probably find me right here or take up that bubble bath idea since I have been getting over this cold since Christmas and I have no date.
Happy New Year everyone !!!!

I sorted a bunch of newspapers, catalogs, recipes, magazines, etc. that had been piling up today. Looking at them, I realized that I always save these domestic things, but then I take my life out of the house so much that I never really cook or read (except for my job). Maybe one of my resolutions should be to slow down, hang around my stove to eat things UnMcDonald's, and read my Sunset magazines.

My first resolution is to make it to the NAAF conference for the first time this June and actually meet some of my dear AW friends in person!!!!

My second resolution is to make International Alopecia Day (August 6, 2011) bigger this year, with more countries and more cities in the US represented. Help me accomplish this one, people!

Finally, I resolve - as I begin my 4th year as a bald woman - to keep striving to find peace with how I look and not let my lack of hair cause me to dip into self-pity or anger. Those moments are becoming fewer and farther between, but I want them to go away completely!

Happy 2011 everyone!
