Yikes! Well, do not kill yourself. Stay here and have some bitter and sweet fun with us instead.

Life without eyebrows may be happy as well. Never loose your smile, your warm heart and you ability to adapt to new situations, that is why people are loving you and also admiring you.... new possibilities to outfit your face...

Ellen, I know how you feel. When I lost my hair 2 1/2 years ago, I told myself that if I lost my eyebrows too, my life would be over. I had really thick, arched brows that were always my favorite feature. Here they are, fully intact: http://www.alopeciaworld.net/photo/just-after-shaving-my-head?conte...

But, when they came out a couple of months after this photo was taken, life went on. I got tattoos, and now I just put a little powder on them for definition...very quick and easy. No, they don't look like my original brows, but they actually look pretty good and they're part of the "new me" that includes a shiny bald head! Hang in there.

I'm in the same boat, I only have a few lashes left on the right side and not much of my eyebrows left and YES, my eyebrows were fierce! So thick I had to pluck in-between them (I used to laugh because my grandfather just had one great big long eyebrow). I pencil them in but I think I'll soon get tired of doing that and I'll get them tattooed. It is really upsetting, just how much are we to take? Oh wait, I know, no more waxing girls! There is a silver lining after all :)

HEE HEE, I had to pluck between my eyebrows too! I don't miss plucking them but I sure do miss my eyebrows. I think I miss my eyelashes more...I definitely miss my eyelashes more. Oh well, Cest la vie.

Did anyone see the photo in the paper today of the man who had a full face transplant - jaw, cheekbones, nose, eyelids...everything. It'll be years of physical therapy before he can use the facial muscles very well, and he'll always look unusual and totally different than before the accident that took his face. Whenever I see a story like that, I feel thankful that all I'm missing is hair. I'm not minimizing what we're going through, but it does help me to think about what I do have that some people would give anything to have. ( ;-)

I am really, really happy with my glue-on eyebrows. They feel more natural to me than when I was trying to draw on eyebrows with a pencil. You can see them pretty well in this photo of me & my cat. I can leave them on for about a week at a time & then just take them off overnight & glue on again in the morning.

They look great! I wish I still had my cat so I could get cat kisses on my bald head! I'm saving this picture and captioning it "Yet another wonderful advantage of being bald!"
