Hi everyone,

I graduated a few months ago with a bachelor's in nursing, and I am taking the NCLEX (nursing licensure exam) in a couple days. I'm looking for advice from anyone who has taken the NCLEX or any other PEARSON test. I've heard ridiculous stories about how strict the security is at the exam, and I'm feeling worried. I wear a wig all the time, and I am very private about it. I don't know if they will inspect the head/neck well enough to know, and I don't know if they would expect me to take it off. It would honestly be my worst nightmare to be called out about it, and there is no way I'd be willing to remove it. I've heard that they have asked Muslim women to remove their hijabs, which is pretty much just as bad. I hope someone has some knowledge about this! Thanks!

Hi, I took the exam a couple years ago and I have never heard of that. Basically they just look at your ID, check pockets and then you have to lock all of your personal stuff in a locker. No pat downs. You can always call the testing center for more info in case things have changed.

Quite some time ago another woman said she attended in a scarf and they made her remove it! that's the only time I've heard of that...I think wearing a wig you'll be okay, most people don't even realise it's a wig anyway. Good luck with the exam!
