Hello!

Here is my alopecia story...

My hair started falling out in April... at first I thought it was from stress ( my dad had a stroke) but, we now found out it is alopecia. It is now September and my hair is still falling out. I got my first steriod injections 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am rubbing a liguid perscription on my spots at least twice a day. I am in my senior year of high school and this is really upsetting me. How long until I can expect some progress? In some spots I'm getting tuffs of hair back yet in other spots they seems to be getting worse :( I'm hoping & praying for some new hair soon.
Hope you all enjoy your holiday! Thank you for your help!

Also, I got my hair cut a few days ago and my hairdresser really scrubbed my spots ( I was always afraid to really scrub them because more hair would fall out) turns out I had a build up of shampoo and after she scrubbed it off i noticed hairs growing back. I think the layer(s) of shampoo blocked the path of some hair to grow back!!

Hey,
I know excatly how you feel, I have had Alopecia Areta since I was 8 years old, I am now 21. I have been getting injections every six weeks. My hair can look amazing for a few weeks/months straight and then go downhill for the next few weeks/months. I found that I have two spots that don't get better so I have found this amazing powder called x-fusion- I use it to fill in my spots and no one can tell I have aa. The other thing I do is cut my hair once it gets shoulder lenghth because the shorter it is the fuller it is (this is hard becuase most girls in my circles have long hair which makes me feel self conscious but i do what i have to do) Good luck, feel free to ask me anything.

I just wanted to let everyone know I found a great wiglet from Revlon called the magic snap. It is so natural and only cost 150. I got it from ace wigs which has wigs a lot cheaper then the other sites. I got so many compliments about my new hair. It is human hair and can be styled and even colored.
