Guddi, 

Find a shampoo that is all natural.....like Castile at a co-op or natural grocery store such as Whole Foods.  I've tried every shampoo every high end essential oil.....you name it.  I've found CBD oil to be very helpful with the flair ups and also under the tongue as a tension/ reducer.  I am moving into acceptance through meditation and prayer also the affirmation:  I am not my body though my body is mine, I am not my emotions though my emotions are mine.  It's a way of objectifying my body rather than identifing with it. It's a Spiritual Principal.  We ARE more than just our hair!  Best of luck on this very interesting but at time difficult journey.  Keep the stress down by deep breathing and when those fear based negative thoughts come up try the affirmatons IMMEDIATELY then do the next indicated thing mindfully.  Let me know if you have received responses as I am new to this site and no one has responded to me.  Thanks and remember that your are loved and appreciated.  Bon
