I am sure it has been discussed but I can't locate the thread. Do you shave in the shower? Do you just let the warm water run over your head? Do you use a cream or soap? Do you stand in front of the sink having showered the previous evening? Do you put a warm wash cloth on your head for a short period of time first? Do you shave every morning or evening? Do you work in short strokes or long? Do you shave with the grain against the grain or even sideways? Do you go through blades as quickly as I do 8^)?

i usually shave every 2-3 days, before i get in the shower. i use shaving cream, and a mach 5 razor blade. i shave in every direction i can, (just to get the smoothest i can). i have found that against the grain hurts more, but gets a closer shave. i usually do longer strokes, but with a new blade, sometimes shorter works better. and yes, i go through blades rather quickly. i probably change blades more often than i need to, but a newer blade makes for a smoother and less painful shave!

I don't shave my head, at this time, but I find soaking in a hot bath makes for a smooth body shave, although not as smooth as you silky AUers! If I ever decided to shave my head I would probably just incorporate it into my bubble bath routine. I've gotten big into Epsom salt baths lately, it really relaxes tight muscles and feels delicious!

I will have to pull up witch hazel off the internet...I have heard of it but that is as far as my curiosity went.
What is the rubbing alcohol for? Currently I am putting on Rogain and Chloebetasol steriod cream immediately after showering and shaving. One more month of that doctor prescribed ritual. I found good shaving info immedately on the sisterhood group. I will "wonder" in there later and look around some more at that educated groups discussions. thankyou
