Going out for Valentine's day this evening

My bride of 30 years and I are going to a very nice eating establishment this evening for Valentines Day. Made the reservations some time ago and my first question was not if I could get a reservation but, what is the required wear? Semi-formal present yourself as if you were going to church. So, that means I will hit the bigtime tonight and not wear a hat. Ready or not here I come or is it ready set go !!!

Little up date on what happened that night and since. We had the booth near the corner, somewhat dark. Within minutes my wife waves to someone coming into our section of the restaurant. I turn and smile seeing a female I have not seen in 6 months. Numerous times I look around during the evening to see if I am being stared at (paranoia ?) and each time it is only this woman sitting at a table of eight people looking my direction.

Flash ahead to this morning. My wife is putting on makeup I start to head down stairs and I hear “oh my Lord”. My cue to turn around go back in and asks Whats up?. My wife is a RN in Womens Health Care (OBGYN). This women came in yesterday for an exam. They make chit chat of course. My wife then asks “Did anyone at your table have the lamb?” Yes I did and it was great. My wife “Rick was going to get the lamb but he has had only good lamb twice so he is nervous about getting it”.

10 minutes later the lady says “That was Rick wanting the lamb?”

She did not come over to say hello to my wife at the restaurant because my wife was occasionally kissing a strange guy in a dark restaurant 40 miles away from our home in a different town.

My wife and this lady took awhile to get their thinking hats on. My wife started crying she laughed so hard.

LOL! Rick, I say the good thing is that you are smooching in the corner after 30 years of marriage! LOL! I love it. There is humor in this condition, we just have to learn to enjoy it.
