Anyone else tired of seeing hair collect all over your floor, bed, hairbrush? My hair has gotten to my lower back, but I still have large patches over the entire back and sides, with some smaller patches on top. So, of course, my long hair sheds and it becomes very obvious that there's hair everywhere. The worst is when cooking! I'm always scared someone will find a hair in their food and be disgusted.
Makes me want to shave it all off -- a thought that's been around for a few months. I've thought about it enough to where I'm pretty sure I'd be comfortable with a bald head.
Anyone in this position? I'd love to get your thoughts.
Hair Hair everywhere...I know exactly what you mean when you are cooking...hair on the pillow case, in the bed sheets, on everything I grab in the bathroom. But no, I would rather have shedding than to have no hair at all. That is just ME. I just wish the shedding would stop and I could keep what I have left.
I agree with Lexi. Shedding is better than no hair at all. I regret the day when we shaved Arnav's hair because of hair-shedding. That made him & me more nervous & conscious.
I have been dealing with losing my hair going on 10 months now. I haven't been able to hide it now for a few months so I thought to myself, What harm could it do to shave it? It couldn't look any worse than it already does, and also What benefits do I have to keeping it long? I found the pros of shaving outweighed the cons, but it took a long time to get to that point. So you have to really be sure of your choice if you come to that. I will tell you it is amazing to take a shower and not have handfuls of hair reminding me daily of what I am going through.
Thank you guys so much for your comments. I had thought I was ready to shave my head, but I'm not so sure now. I do have great support from friends but not so much from my parents. I understand that they worry, but I also think that they don't quite get the situation. I'm so glad to see that there are other people going through the same thing though!
YES!! Although, I buzz/shave my head now so no more hair everywhere! I like it so much better now, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you are fully ready for it. However, your hair will grow out if you don't like it. I had hair everywhere! It made me sick to my stomach to see it. Now, I never think about it. Just take baby steps, and try to remember that you are not alone!
