Mira oil?

Started Jun 24, 2013 0 Replies

Has anyone had any experience using Mira Oil? I got some awhile back but stopped using it because I thought maybe it was contributing to hair loss. All the reviews I read seemed positive. Started to…Continue

4 Years Later.

Posted on August 19, 2016 at 12:09pm 2 Comments

It's been awhile. September 17th marks 4 years since I found my first bald spot on my head. My hair has fallen out 4 times now. Currently I have almost a head full of hair (again) and it's curly and fun, but no hair on my temples and my hair line is way back from where it used to be. I don't feel comfortable going without a wig on the daily. Now in the last week I noticed fresh spots and losing more in the shower. So here we go again. I found the best way to cope for myself is to push it out…

Round 2

Posted on January 29, 2014 at 12:30am 2 Comments

Thank goodness for this website. I have met one other person who suffers from alopecia in my area, and she has been lucky enough to regrow almost all of her hair. She gave me a lot of hope. In the last few weeks I have continuously found new spots on my head of fresh bald patches. It has been absolutely devastating because I have tried to be so patient in the last year and a half. I know it could be so much worse, but it is so hard coping with holding out hope for something that does not pan…

Hard times

I first noticed my alopecia in Sept 2012. Fast forward to Dec 1, 2013, and I have lost all but a 1 inch strip of hair on the top of my head. I have a head full of regrowth, not too long ( A few inches), but still regrowing. In the last week, I have noticed probably 4 little finger tip size spots of baldness again. I have come to terms that I am starting this process over. This has been devastating for me because I have held out so much hope that I would get that beautiful head of hair back…

1 year anniversary AA

Posted on September 24, 2013 at 12:00pm 0 Comments

My title is actually misleading. My one year anniversary of diagnosis with AA was on Sept 17. But I've stopped letting AA control my life and have been TOO BUSY to post anything! :-) That feels really great to say. A few months ago I would not have been able to say that about myself. I thank the Lord above for giving me strength and confidence to get through this. I don't remember the day I decided to shave my head, but it was the best decision I have made so far. I am hopeful that my hair…
