Starting 2009


Here's me starting off 2009 with a growing bald patch. This patch was already treated with squaric acid and injections a month or so ago....but it looks like some more hairs have fallen out. And there's another small patch I have up near my forehead that seems to be growing. Ugh.

I'm going for a haircut and color tomorrow and hopefully we'll be able to blend the bald patches in....again. *sigh*

What a wild goose chase....

Hey Sandy,

I've been enduring patches since May 2007. The one pictured is medium sized for me at the moment. I had a huge one behind that one toward the back of my head over the summer...and another one over my ear. It was pretty tricky to disguise....but barrettes helped....and I had to wear a scarf and hat at the pool. *sigh*

It's weird. Every day I wonder what is going to happen next. Where will the next patches show up? Will they be in a place that I can't disguise? *sigh*

I have pretty much given up looking at my patches. I can drive myself crazy! (Short drive that is, barely have time to get the seatbelt fastened.) Depending on my mood, I can think they're bigger...or smaller...or interesting...or terrifying. But I find it best not to spend too much energy on it!
