Thanks to everyone for your comments. I am VERY proud of Alieena. From day one when we first found out I had a sit down with her and pretty much told her honey, you are very special and no one can change that, and I have explained to her in great detail what it is she has and that it might be a forever thing, and I have told her time and again when she starts getting a little down about her missing hair that she had to be strong and remember she is beautiful and that God made her special. I have tought her that when people stare just to look the other way and when she is asked what happend no matter how it is asked, (cutting her own hair, etc.) that she is to remember what I have told her, for her to tell them she has AA and when she is asked what it is she is to say sometimes my hair falls out, and the most important part is for her to also add, NO YOU CANT GET IT. I felt that she needed to always add that part in because people are so funny in todays world. And I believe that if people are made aware of what it is and no you cant get it, it will help her out in the long run and ease so many snoty comments or remarks that could be made. I am so very proud of her she is the only person in our whole school district to face this and she is doing great for now. I have been to the school and luckly I know quite a bit of people who work there and I have told them that I understand kids will be kids but I WILL NOT tolorate someone picking on her and nothing being done about it. Its not her fault and she didnt ask for this so I will not stand for it. Luckly everything is going well for now. Thank you again. And I wish the best for everyone.
