Since it's Thanksgiving I decided that giving thanks was in order. I have so much to be thankful for!
- my wonderful family that has been by my side and helped me so much. Specifically my mom who has listened to me cry and shaved my head when I asked her to.
- the opportunity I have to go to college. I am so happy that I live in a country that allows me to pursue my education and allows me to do and become anything that I want.
- this wonderful country - I can't even imagine living in a country that does not afford me the many freedoms I enjoy everyday. I am very outspoken so the first amendment is my friend!
- my health. I was just diagnosed with Alopecia Areata three weeks ago and although it has been a very difficult journey I am so happy that I am healthy...in fact I'm sort of over healthy.
- my friends. I am so blessed to have some of the greatest friends in the world! They have given me all the support I could ever wish for.
- Alopecia World - I was feeling so very isolated. Every time I felt I had found a support group it never worked out. This website is such a godsend.
- my gifts and talents. I am so thankful that I have a sound mind that allows me to think and articulate my thoughts.
- good food and family that not only cooks the good food for me and puts up with my whack sense of humor and stupid jokes.
- animals - I can't even begin to imagine a world without critters, especially the ones that don't care if you have hair or not.
- warm weather - I have always hated the cold, but now I have even more reason to love it...bald heads get really cold! I keep hoping Spring will hurry up and get here!
