I have had AU for 7 years now. I go without a wig or hat 99% of the time -
I still struggle with drawing on my eyebrows and using eyeliner - my eyebrows are crooked and if I do get them to look half way ok - it is usually with powder that does not last very long.

Any suggestions on what you have done?

Thanks

I use a 3 step process and it lasts all day. I use pencil first and use a stencil for an outline. I then use a marker by anatasia that is somewhat water resistant to darken/fill in. I finish with powder and pencial to fillin and use a light brush to blend. It takes practice but this has worked for me.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my tattooed eyebrows. And it wasnt that bad in the pain department. If you ever did injection treatment, the tattoos will be a piece of cake. Just find a good artist that takes the time to stencil them in the way you want them to look. The one I went to actually used a ruler and protractor, she was the nicest woman that owns a manicure, tanning,& makeup tattoo salon.

Tattoed eyebrows saved my daughter so much time and look so much more natural. She has regrowth now and the tattoes serve as fill-ins for the bare spots.

I agree with Terri, I got my brows tattooed just a few weeks ago after losing mine several months ago, i also was never happy with my makeup attempts or how long it lasted. I was so nervous about the tattooing but was fortunate enough to find a fantastic cosmetic tattooist who did a great job and was very reassuring throughout the whole procedure, it was fairly expensive but like i told myself expensive for Vanity maybe, but not for Sanity & it has certainly helped mine!

thank you all for your recommendations. I have been looking into the tattoo - I need to find a place near my home.

Lisa, do you have recent pics of your brows? I would love to see. :)

Tattooes work great for me...just takes me a second to put a little brush on powder to darken them a bit. I have some regrowth now, too.

I swear by my tattoos. I, too, have had regrowth but it's kind of funny - my tats are a bit higher than my eyebrows naturally were so I still have to remove most of the hairs! Wouldn't change a thing for the world though.. it totally beats the days of drawing them on crooked or getting an itch and losing half a brow! Good luck in your search, I hope it works out for you! :)

Thanks again to you all. I am researching the tattoo folks near me. Pray that I find a good one. :)

Make sure that your tattoo artist is versed in drawing in the fine hairlike eyebrows! It's an art and if you tell me where you are - I'll ask my tattoo person (who also tattoos on nipples for those who have undergone a mastectomy) to see if she knows of someone in your area. I love mine and like everyone else here who has done it - wake up with a FACE! I just wish my twin brother would do this - it changes your life - truly. Now...just waiting on some regrowth - that would be soo fabulous!
